“Erotic Jesus”…another term for pornography and perversion.

The current controversary is over the Vienna’s Roman Catholic Cathedral’s decision to show disturbing images created by Alfred Hrdlicka.  The Cathedral Museum’s director, Bernhard Boehler, and Cardinal Christoph Schoenborn, the archbishop of Vienna, don’t think there’s anything wrong with showing these scenes. The ‘art’ in question is a depiction of the Last Supper titled “a Homosexual Orgy” and depicts exactly what it says.

Alfred Hrdlicka, an ‘artist’, should’ve stuck to dental work (a job he held before his ‘artist’ days). Although, after seeing examles of his ‘art’, I don’t think I’d ever want this pervert’s hands in my mouth.

His bio strikes me as sort of “I got bored with being a responsible adult and decided to express my inner 13 year-old perversions.” That Austria would claim him as one of their famous artists says alot about the country.

I looked at alot of his ‘works’ and saw murders, rapes, alot of penis’s, blood, orgies, etc. His art looks like something a disturbed 14 year-old might draw while in Juvie.

“I don’t see any blasphemy here,” Boehler said, gesturing at a Crucifixion picture showing a soldier simultaneously beating Jesus and holding his genitals. “People can imagine what they want to.”

Righ. No blasphemy there. Last Supper orgies, and soldiers getting off to Jesus dying. All that in a Catholic Cathedral.

Idiots.

Superheroes Galore!!!

April 3, 2008 by mrvibeman

It’s gonna be a GREAT year for Superhero movies!

While I do watch a wide variety of movies, ironically I don’t watch too many political pictures (probably because most of Hollywood political pictures are gushingly liberal), but of all the movies I do watch, I just can’t get enough of Superhero movies. There’s just something about them that takes me back to those adolescent days when I’d rush home from school to watch George Reeves put on the Blue and Red tights (in black and white of course) and hear those iconic words…”LOOK! Up in the Sky! It’s a bird, it’s a plane…no, it’s SUPERMAN!”

It must be the whole ‘Good against Evil’ storyline. Even the most liberal of Superhero movies, even the most character developement laden gushy plotline can usually be boiled down to the good guy fighting the bad guy sooner or later. There’s very little gray area when it comes to this genre.

On top of that, the special effects now-a-days just can’t be beat. Any movie that has even a decent budget can come out looking like a champ. Most if not all of the Batman movies, X-Men movies, and Spiderman movies are in the 100 top grossing movies of ALL TIME (Superman Returns is in there too). All 3 Spiderman movies are in the top 15 highest grossing movies of all time. People want to see these. With the world such a depressing place in this day and age, people want to see a world with Superheros fighting for Truth and Justice, they want to see miracles happen, even if it’s just on the Big Screen.

Here’s a few that we’ve got to look forward too this year.

IRONMAN - Looks freaking awesome. Strong cast. Robert Downey Jr. was an inspired choice to play Tony Stark, recovering alcoholic. Terrance Howard, Jeff Bridges, and Gwyneth Paltrow also star. Premiers May 2nd.

The Incredible Hulk - A revamp of the Hulk story after so many Boo’s for the first one. Appears to have much better graphics for the Hulk shots, making him look much more ‘human’…ish… I guess. Either way, the trailer looks awesome, and with Liv Tyler, Ed Norton, and William Hurt, this is gonna be another summer blockbuster. I can’t decide which movie will be the big winner this year, this one or Ironman. Hulk premiers June 13th.

Couldn’t find a pic of the new Hulk, but here’s a link to the official website…

But wait! that’s not all! A couple more coming this year too.

The Dark Knight, Batman sequel, Premiers July 18th. Not sure what to think about this one yet. I would’ve rather seen a different villian I think. Maybe that’s why I’m not that enthusiastic at this point yet. We’ll see.

Hancock - This looks pretty funny as well as, uh.. uplifting, I guess. Will Smith plays Hancock, a screwup Superhero with issues. He’s invulnerable, can fly, the whole bit. Trailer looks pretty good.

There would have been even more this year, but the writers strike put a kink in alot of scripts and filming schedules. Both Marvel and DC plan on putting their big heroes to the big screen. We should see a couple good Superhero movies every year or two from now on I think.

COOL!

Fitna the Movie: Geert Wilders’ film about the Quran

March 27, 2008 by mrvibeman

The TRUTH. It’s that simple. Watch FITNA and wake up to what Islam is REALLY about. If you don’t believe what you see in this video, you’re a fool. Someday you will remember you had the chance to know your enemy and did nothing.

If the movie posting doesn’t show up for some reason and you can’t watch it, go here to see it.
